• To make this sweet treat, start by grating lots of coconuts. Next, take a pan, add the grated coconut, and stir it until the colour turns brown.

• In the next step, add some sugar and mix continuously till the sugar granules melt, mix, and the coconut mixture becomes sticky. In between the process, add some cinnamon as well for flavours.

• If you want naru to be simply white, then turn off the stove. Otherwise, replace sugar with jaggery and follow the same process to get brown naru.

• Spread the cooked coconut mixture on a plate or a pan and let it cool down till the time you are able to make laddoo-shaped balls.

• Grease your hands with some ghee and then make small balls out of the mixture. • Once you are done, offer some to Maa Lakhsmi in the prasad. • While eating naru, you can gorge on them fresh and also store them for days and enjoy them one by one.
