Maharashtrian Recipes: Here’s How You Can Make Malvani Ghavan At Home

Ghavan 

Ghavan is a very famous dish in Maharashtra's Konkan region which is close to Neer dosa. 

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Rice (4-5 hours) Oil Salt

PROCEDURE

1. Wash one cup of rice thoroughly 2. Soak one cup of rice for about 4-5 hours in a big bowl. 

PROCEDURE

3. Once the rice is soaked well, grind it into a thick batter.  4. You might need to add a little water while grinding, so make sure you do not skip it. 

PROCEDURE

5. Add salt to batter and transfer it into the bowl.  6. You can adjust the consistency by adding water to the batter. 

PROCEDURE

7. Now cover the batter and keep it aside for 15 mins. 8. Take a tawa and greese it with some oil. 

PROCEDURE

9. Stir the batter and pour a little on the tawa.  10. Pour a little oil on it and flip it after it turns brown. 

PROCEDURE

11. After flipping it, cook for 2 mins or less and serve it.
