Grab the freshest and juiciest mangoes from the market and make Mango Malai Kulfi at home. Chef Kunal Kapur has shared an easy-peasy recipe to prepare this appetising dessert.

• 1 litre of milk • 1 mango • 4 tbsp sugar • 1 tbsp custard powder (optional) • Yellow food colour (optional) • 2 tbsp water (optional) For Garnishing: • Basil seeds (soaked) • Tutti frutti • Almond slivers • Pista slivers

• Start preparing the simple dessert by boiling milk on a kadhai. Boil it till 1 litre reduces to about 400 ml. The texture will be quite heavy and creamy.

• Next, chop a mango and blend it in a mixer to get a thick paste. Make sure to use sweet and ripe mangoes for the best taste.

• Once done, take the mango puree and boil it in a pan for some time. It is a great step to increase the delish flavours and reduce the risk of forming any crystals.

• Though it is optional, you can make a mixture of custard powder and water.

• It's time to mix everything. Once the milk has been reduced to 400 ml, add sugar and the boiled puree, and the optional mix of custard powder. • In the last step, you can even add a few drops of yellow food colour to get a vibrant colour.

• Pour the mixture into mould and refrigerate it for at least 7-8 hours. • After kulfi gets frozen perfectly, demould each piece, and garnish with soaked basil seeds, almond slivers, pista slivers, tutti fruti, and some diced pieces of mango.
