Malvika's Adai Recipe 

Malvika Hada Kumar AKA thespicystory shared a recipe for Adai, a South Indian dosa made with different lentils and spices.

Ingredients 

1 cup of idli rice 1 cup of raw rice 1 cup of black urad dal 1 cup of toor dal 1 cup of chana dal 6-7 dry red chillies 1-1/2 tsp of fennel seeds Salt, to taste 1/2 cup of bottle gourd (chopped or grated) 1/4 cup of coconut slices 1/4 cup shallots (chopped) 2 tbsp of coriander leaves (chopped) 1 tbsp curry leaves (chopped) 1/2 tap hing Oil, to cook

Step 1 

Rinse and soak all the dals and rice for 3 to 4 hours.

Then, grind it coarsely with fennel seeds and dry red chillies.

Step 2

Add the remaining veggies, spices and other ingredients except oil and mix well.

Step 3

Pour oil in a pan after it heats, take a spoonful of the batter and pour it.

Cook the adai till it turns golden brown. Your Thanjavur-style Adai is ready!
