MasterChef India's Natashaa Gandhi shared the recipe for Kaanji, a winter special drink from Amritsar.
This is a probiotic drink that makes the skin glow and improves digestion. Natashaa Gandhi shared her Nani's kaanji recipe.
1 kg of Black Carrots 2 large Beetroots 200g of Red Mustard Seeds (Ground) 1 tbsp of Salt 2-3 tbsp of Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
Fill a jar with 5 litres of water and add peeled and cut 1 kg of black carrots and 2 large beetroots.
Next, add ground 200g of red mustard seeds, 2-3 tbsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder and 1tbsp of salt.
Stir this jar of water filled with the carrots, beets and spices.
Stir this well and keep it in the sunlight for 3-4 days for fermentation. When it's ready, then chill it and serve.
