• 2-3 lotus stem • 2 tbsp cornflour • 1 tsp oil • 1/2 tsp chopped ginger • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic • 1/4 cup chopped onion • 1/8 cup chopped capsicum • 1/4 tsp pepper powder • Salt • 1.5 tsp tomato ketchup • 1.5 tsp soy sauce • 1 tsp red chilli sauce • 1-2 tsp cornflour slurry • Sesame seeds • Spring onions

• Start by washing the lotus stem, removing the peel, and cutting it into thin slices. • Take the slices and coat them with cornflour. • Next, add some oil to a pan and deep-fry the lotus stem.

• Take another pan, add oil, and fry onion, ginger, garlic, and capsicum. Add some salt and pepper as well.

• Also, add red chilli sauce, soy sauce, and tomato ketchup. • Next, add the fried lotus stem to the sauce and toss well until each piece is coated nicely.

• To garnish Lotus Stem Manchurian, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
