Make the most of the monsoon season with this Mirchi Cream Cheese Poppers recipe by Chef Saloni Kukreja.
Mirchi/Bhavnagiri chillies - 4-5 Cream cheese - ¾ cup Green chillies (finely chopped) - 2-3 Sugar Salt Pepper Mozarella cheese - ½ cup Garlic granules - 1.5 tsp Butter - 1.5 tbsp Bread crumbs -½ cup
1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped jalapeños/green chillies, garlic granules, sugar, salt, and pepper. 2. Keep it aside.
3. Make a lengthwise cavity in each chilli. 4. De-seed and clean the insides. 5. Finely chop the scooped-out parts of the chillies and keep them aside.
6. In another bowl, combine bread crumbs with salt, pepper, and melted butter. 7. Mix and set aside.
8. Fill each chilli with the prepared cream cheese mixture. 9. Add chopped chilli bits over the top. 10. Top with seasoned bread crumb mixture and gently press.
11. Line a tray with greased parchment paper and place the stuffed chillies on it. 12. Lightly brush the sides with oil.
13. In a preheated air fryer, let the chillies cook at 180°C for 5–6 minutes. 14. Serve hot.
