1 cup of short grain rice (soaked for 6-8 hours) 1/4 cup of sugar 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder 1/4 cup of water 2 tbsp of ghee / butter 1/2 tsp of baking soda Oil or ghee for frying

Add soaked short grain rice into a mixer with cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, sugar and little water and blend it to make a smooth paste.

Pour the smooth paste into a bowl and add ghee and mix well till the batter emulsifies.

Next, add baking soda into the batter and you will notice its consistency similar to Malpua.

If you don't have a piping bag, you can cut open a plastic bottle and pour the batter into it like shown in the picture.

Take a shallow pan with medium hot oil and pipe the batter in the shape of a ring,.

Once the roti is fried evenly on all sides and turns golden brown. Keep it aside to cool for awhile and enjoy it hot.
