Pazham Pori Recipe: Here's How To Make Kerala's Fav Monsoon Snack

What Is It? 

Pazham Pori are banana fritters made from ripened plantain called Nendram Pazham in Kerala.

Step 1 

Peel the ripe plantains and slice them length wise.

Step 2

For the batter, mix all purpose flour, rice flour, sugar, salt, water and a pinch of turmeric powder.

Step 3

Dip these ripe banana slices in the batter and make sure it's coated evenly.

Step 4

Next, heat oil in a kadai. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the ripe banana slices, coated in batter.

Deep fry the plantain slices till they are golden brown on both sides.

Step 6

Drain the excess oil from it by placing it on a kitchen napkin.
