Surprise your sibling on this special occasion preparing delicious kalakand at home. The recipe is simple to follow and takes just a few ingredients.

• Milk • Sugar • Lemon • Green cardamom • Almonds • Pistachios
• You can either use store-bought chhena or make it at home. The first step is to boil milk. Once done, let it cool down for about 7-8 minutes.

• Next, add lemon juice to curdle milk and make fresh chhena at home. Make sure to strain all water from it, wash it, and once again remove water from it.

• Meanwhile, take a separate pan to boil milk again. Let it boil until its quantity is reduced to half. Use a grater to grate chhena and pour it into boiled milk. Cook on a low flame and stir consistently.

• Once the consistency thickens, add sugar and cardamom powder. Next, grease ghee on a pan or a mould and pour the kalakand mixture. Spread it evenly and garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios.

Once kalakand sets well, cut it into pieces and enjoy.
