• Take a pressure cooker and add soaked split green moong dal, soaked chana dal, turmeric powder, salt, and water. Cook it till you get 3 whistles.

• Next, take a pan and add ghee, cumin, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, and asafoetida. Cook for some time and add chopped green chillies, chopped onions, dried red chilli, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, and coriander powder.

• Pour the boiled dal into the tadka and stir for a few minutes so that everything cooks well.

• To make bafla, make a dough using coarse whole wheat flour, besan, ghee, crushed coriander seeds, turmeric powder, salt, white sesame seeds, and ajwain. Add very little water to make a tight dough and keep it aside for at least 15 minutes.

• Roll the well-rested dough into circles and boil for about 10 minutes. Keep the boiled bafla on a wire rack and let them dry. Once done, cut them in half and bake them or char them on high flame.

• Dip the cooked bafla in ghee before serving. Next crush them and serve with the tadka dal.
