Recipe: For Onam, Make This Parippu Payasam!

Ingredients

Split Mung Dal, Jaggery, Thick Coconut Milk, Cardamom Powder, Dry Ginger Powder, Jeera Powder, Coconut Pieces, Raisins, Cashews & Ghee.

Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan and fry coconut pieces, raisins and cashews for a few minutes and keep it aside.

Step 2

Now add split mung dal in the pan and fry it.

Then add boiling water in the pan and cook it for another few minutes.

Now, start melting jaggery and add it to the cooked mung dal.

After this, add coconut milk and cook on low heat.

Once it is done, add dry ginger powder, cardamom powder and jeera powder.

Step 7

Now, heat up a pan and start cooking thalipeeth on both sides.
