Bengalis love to gorge on alur chop, beguni, peyaji, and more such yummy fried food items with some muri (puffed rice) and a cup of tea. Here's how you can make telebhaja at home.

If you want to make beguni then use brinjal and for alur chop, use potatoes. You can even use onions for peyaji.

1. Choose veggies according to your telebhaja and cut them into desired shapes.

2. Add gram flour, rice flour, salt, sugar, a pinch of turmeric powder, some chilli powder, and water to a bowl and make a batter.

3. Dip the veggies into the batter and coat all sides really well.

4. Deep fry them until the batter and vegetables are cooked properly.

5. Serve them hot with some muri and garam garam chai.
