Recipe: Make Coquito, A Puerto Rican Coconut Eggnog, At Home!

Ingredients

Evaporated Milk, Eggs, Coconut Cream, Sweetened Condensed Milk, White Rum, Water, Vanilla, Cinnamon And Cloves

Step 1

Over simmering water, combine egg yolks and evaporated milk in the top of a double boiler.

Step 2

Stirring continuously, cook over simmering water until mixture reaches 160 degrees F and is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Step 3

In a blender, add this mixture.

Now, add coconut cream and sweetened condensed milk in the blender.

Step 5

Now, add white rum in the blender, Puerto Rican white rum works best for the recipe.

Step 6

Add vanilla, cinnamon and cloves to the blender and blend it.

Add water if the consistency is too thick for you. However, it is optional.
