All-purpose flour, ghee, yogurt, baking powder, warm water, salt, sugar, lemon juice & rose water.

Combine the flour, ghee, yogurt, baking powder, and a pinch of salt and knead the dough using warm water. 

1. Prepare the Dough

Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into balls & roll each ball into a thin rope-like shape and then twist it into a figure-eight or knot shape.

Shape the Khanfaroosh

Carefully drop a few pieces of Khanfaroosh into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown.

Make the sugar syrup. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and lemon juice and keep it to cool down. Once cooled, immerse the dessert in it.
