¼ Cup Basmati Rice, 1 L Whole Milk, Sugar as per taste, Half tsp Green, Cardamom Powder, 1 Pinch Saffron Strands, 1 tbsp Chopped Almonds, 1 tbsp Sliced Pistachios, 2 tbsp Kewra Water.

Soak rice in water for 15 minutes. While the rice is soaking, boil the milk in a pan.

Scoop out a few spoons of milk in a separate bowl and add saffron to it. Set it aside.

Add the soaked rice to the boiling milk and mix well. Cook on low heat until they are halfway cooked.

Add sugar to the pot and stir well. Let it cook for a while.

Add cardamom powder, sliced almonds and pista. Then add the saffron milk and Kewra water and cook until kheer thickens.

Turn off the heat once done.

You can serve it hot or cold. Refrigerate it if you want to serve it cold.
