• Take some crumbled mawa to a pan and add brown sugar. Stir everything well continuously on a low heat. • Once everything melts well, add some ghee to enrich the flavours and prevent the ingredients from sticking to the pan's surface.
• Keep stirring till you get a dense and thick consistency. Once it thickens, add cocoa powder or some chocolate. • Once everything is cooked well, spread it on a plate and let it cool down.

• Now grease your palms and knead the mawa mixture for a couple of minutes • You can either shape the modak using your palms or use a mould. Make sure you grease the mould before putting the mixture.

• For more taste and some crunch, you can add some almonds, cashew nuts, and chocolate.
