INGREDIENTS Rice 1 cup Toor dal 1 cup Jeera powder 1 tsp Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp Garam Masala 1 tsp Coriander Powder 1tsp Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

INGREDIENTS Hing 1 pinch Salt to taste Jeera 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander leaves (finely chopped) Oil

METHOD 1. Boil rice and dal in a cooker with turmeric and salt. Keep it aside.

METHOD 2. In a pan, take some oil, add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, onion, tomato, salt, jeera powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Cook until tomato goes soft.

METHOD 3. Add dal and rice into this masala mixture and cook until its semi-dry in consistency.

METHOD 4. Take a tempering pan, add ghee, hing, jeera, red chilli and kashmiri red chilli powder. Once the jeera starts popping add this tempering to the khichdi and close it with a lid.
