Queens Public Library has been designed and revamped magnificently by Snøhetta, according to a report by Timeout.

Revamped at a budget of $39 million, the entire renovation process took around five years.

Spanning over an area of 18,000 sq ft, Queens Public Library at 1637 Central Avenue is a two-story building.

The new library opens its doors to a massive space, a glass facade, an interior railing of dichroic glass, and an atrium space.

The Press Release for the library mentioned using coloured glass to make the facade. The beautiful colours fade into one another and balance transparency and translucency. The extraordinary design of the facade contributes to using less artificial lightning. Multiple energy-efficient features make it environmentally friendly.
