Richa shares that her husband, Ali Fazal is a good cook. He cooks yummy traditional Lucknowi dishes. Ali cooks Yakhni Pulao really well.

• Start preparing for Yakhni Pulao by sauteing cumin seeds and some whole spices such as cardamom, star anise, nutmeg, and cinnamon in ghee.  • Then add some green chillies and onion slices till the slices become brown.

How To Make Yakhni Pulao?

• In the next step, add ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and red chili powder and saute for a few minutes. • Now add mutton pieces into the mixture and cook for about 5 minutes.  • Then add curd and let it mix with the spices and onions completely. 

Saute, Saute & Saute!

• Transfer this to a pressure cooker and add washed rice to it. According to your measurements, add mutton stock to it and let it cook for 10-12 minutes. • Once you see everything is cooked well with no water left in the cooker, put down the gas and serve.
