Enjoy tea time by munching on homemade Ribbon Murukku. Chef Aruna Vijay shared a recipe for this South Indian snack.

• 2 cups rice flour • 1/2 cup besan • 1.5 tsp red chilli powder • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder • 1/2 tbsp butter • 1 tsp oil • Salt • 1/4 tsp hing • 1/2 cup water • Curry leaves • Oil

• Take a large bowl and add rice flour, besan, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, salt, butter, and oil.

• Pour water into the ingredients and knead gently to get a soft and smooth dough.

• Next, add a portion of the dough into a chakli mould to get the perfect shapes.

• Put light pressure and squeeze the pieces into a pan of hot oil. Deep fry for a few minutes till the treats become crispy and crunchy.

Lastly, fry some curry leaves and use it to garnish freshly cooked Ribbon Murukku.
