If you have been to authentic Karnataka restaurants, you must have tried this green coconut chutney!
It is famously relished with idli and has an amazing taste!
1 cup fresh cocnut 1/2 cup coriander leaves 2-3 green chillies 1 tsp Urad dal 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Salt Water Oil 4-5 curry leaves 2 dry red chillies
1. Add coconut, green chillies, coriander, a little warm water and salt in a mixer jar. 2. Mix until smooth and place in in a bowl.
3. Take a tempering pan and add oil to it. 4. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds and wait for it to crackle. 5. Add urad dal and saute until golden brown.
6. Add red chillies and curry leaves. Roast them until curry leaves turn crispy. 7. Switch the flame off and add this tempering to the chutney.
Serve it with medu vada or idli!
