"Your mental and physical health has to be at the optimum level for you to perform. So you can't say I am talented and I am great but I will eat whatever I want to eat. You will go behind the line soon", shared Chhetri.

It has been more than 5 years since he has left eating non-vegetarian delicacies. One of his favourite dishes back then was mutton curry made by his mother.

The footballer also revealed how he marks sleep as one of the most important things in life. He gets cranky and cannot function if he does not sleep even for a day.

For victory meals, Sunil Chhetri enjoys a big portion of white rice pulao or biryani with lots of vegetables and soybeans. In fact, he gorges on samosa and pizza sometimes. Interestingly, his cheat meals are pre-planned.
