Mogra Sharbat is a floral summer cooler that is refreshing and fragrant. Food and yoga content creator Nihar Desai shared a recipe for Mogra Sharbat.

1 cup of Simple syrup (1:1 sugar and water) Handful of fresh jasmine flowers A few strands of Saffron 1/2 teaspoon of Cardamom Powder

First, make the simple syrup by adding sugar and water on medium flame. Once it comes to a boil, reduce the flame, let it simmer till the sugar disolves.

Then, add the saffron strands, fresh jasmine buds and crushed cardamom in the kadai.

Bring the floral water to a boil and then turn off the flame. Let it cool down to room temperature.

Set this syrup aside for 24 hours to allow the jasmine flowers to infuse into the sugar syrup.

Next morning, strain the flowers, cardamom and saffron and store the syrup in a bottle. This base syrup can be stored in the fridge for upto a month.

Finally, assemble your drink by adding 2 tbsp of this freshly amde syrup into a glass. Fill it with water and ice cubes. Garnish with mogra buds and your Mogra Sharbat is ready!
