In her special segment on Instagram, Tuesday Tips with B, she shared a special Til Aloo Tikki which is a healthy twist to the much-loved aloo tikkis.
According to her post, she chose to coat the aloo tikkis in sesame seeds because they are rich in iron, calcium, and magnesium. She highlighted how these 3 supplements are important for elders. So, we brought her recipe for you to try at home.
2-3 boiled potatoes/sweet potato 5-6 green chillies 8-9 garlic buds chopped Finely chopped ginger 1 tsp roasted jeera 1 tsp amchur 1 tsp chaat masala 1 tsp garam masala Some roasted sesame seeds Coriander Lemon Salt
1. In a big bowl, mash the boiled potatoes/sweet potatoes. 2. Then, add all the ingredients mentioned earlier, and mix it all together. 3. Once you reach a dough-like consistency, take a pan and drizzle it with some oil.
4. Before adding the tikkis to the pan, coat them well with some sesame seeds. 5. Now, shallow fry the sesame seeds-coated tikki on the pan until golden brown.
Finally, plate the tikkis off the pan, and serve it with some mint chutney.
