Living alone and cooking every day is a TASK! For people living alone abroad with limited time and resources, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar shared some easy and healthy food options that can be cooked quickly.

Eat Healthy Food!

This yummy sweet treat is good for gut health and helps in bone health. You can enjoy it with a glass of milk for breakfast. If you are not getting Rajgira laddoo, munch on Bajra laddoo.

1. Rajgira Laddoo

Enjoy home-cooked rice with yummy chutneys made using dal. You can store the chutneys for about 2 weeks and rice can be used for 2-3 days. Some of her suggestions are gunpowder and metkut.

Pre-mix khichdi by pre-soaking dal and rice beforehand. During the weekend, take a pan and add tadka and the soaked rice and dal and sautee till all the ingredients are dry. Once done, transfer everything to a glass container and put it in the fridge. On busy days, simply add water to the mixture and enjoy!

Follow the same khichdi process with rice and vegetables and make pulao to relish on long tiring days. You can even make some rice and dal following the same steps.
