Bafra Pideshi, a Turkish savoury pie, comes from the Bafra region in Turkey. It has a boat-shaped crust filled with various ingredients like cheese, minced meat, or spinach.
Flour, yeast, water, salt, sugar, ground beef, onions, tomatoes, paprika, cumin, cheese, spinach, egg.
Mix yeast with warm water and sugar until foamy.
Combine this mixture with flour and salt, knead until smooth.
Let the dough rise until doubled in size. Divide dough into equal portions and roll each into a thin oval.
Cook and season the filling ingredients.
Place filling in the centre, leaving edges free. Fold edges over to create a boat shape, pinching ends to seal.
Brush edges with egg wash. Preheat oven to 220°C (428°F). Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
