Tips By The Chef

To get the best dosa, make them on cast iron tawa. Also, make sure the tawa is not too hot and splash some water on from time to time. 

Ingredients 

3/4 cup Rice 1/4 cup parboiled Ukda Rice 1/4 cup Urad Dal 2 tbsp Poha 2 tsp Chana Dal 2 tsp Toor Dal 3/4 tsp Methi Seeds 3/4 tsp Salt 2 tsp Sugar

Bangalore-Style Dosa Recipe 

1. Soak the dals, rice, and poha for some time. 2. Then, in a blender, put them all together and mix it till you get a thick batter. 

Let It Ferment For Sometime 

3. Whisk the batter with your hands for a few minutes and then keep it aside for fermentation for 8-12 hours.

Follow These Steps 

4. Now, take the batter and add some sugar and salt to it and whisk it well. 5. To make the dosa, take a cast iron tawa. 6. Take a dollop of the batter and spread it well on the tawa.

Continue Following These Steps 

7. Once the batter dries up from one side, add some butter and Bombat chutney inside the dosa. 8. Cook until crispy and your dosa is ready.

Serve it hot with some aloo masala and chutney for the best taste!
