Loaded with lots of lettuce, cheese, different sauces, croutons, dressing, and some protein sources, a bowl of caesar salad is a healthy dish to relish.

It is said that Caesar Cardini is the first person to prepare this bowl of deliciousness back in the 1920s.

Cardini was a chef and had a restaurant in Mexico. It is said that he prepared caesar said on 4 July of some year. He did not have a lot of ingredients so used all that he had.

There are 2 different theories behind the naming of this salad.

While some say that the chef named it after Julius Caesar. He thought that this can attract more customers to his restaurant, especially the rich ones.

Some sources also state that he named the salad after his cousin. His cousin's name is Caesar Augustus.
