According to a post which was recently shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), the superstar Akshay Kumar has donated a total of ₹1.21 crore to the Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai. The post was made by the trustee of the Dargah, Suhail Khandwani.
The donation money will be used for the renovation of a section of the dargah. The trustee also said that it was an honour to welcome him and that the members prayed for his late parents as well as for the entire nation.
Along with the post, he shared a video of the star visiting the Dargah. He went to the sanctum sanctorum and did all the rituals done by devotees of the dargah. He even took a tour of the dargah.

On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Akshay Kumar hosted a langar outside his Mumbai home. He was seen donning a black cap and distributing food to the underprivileged. If reports are to go by, he put his payment on hold for his movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan until every other crew member was paid.
He also made headlines when he contributed ₹3 crore to Ram Mandir and urged others to do the same. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he gave a whopping ₹25 crore to the PM Cares Fund in addition to the ₹1 crore he gave to veteran Cricketer Gambhir’s foundation. His donation to Haji Ali Dargah was lauded by many.
