What’s Up, Delhi-ites?

I know, I know, the festive week is over and it’s a bummer to be back to routine. But hey, you can’t look crestfallen when you are living in a city that always has something for you to do. Looks like Delhi has a packed weekend again and we’re here to help you pick the best out of all the buzz!

1. Contribute to the society this Friday

We’re all so busy in our lives that a chance like this, to do something good for the country, is something we shouldn’t miss. Sbcltr is hosting its first fundraiser, Friends In Aid, with Slam Out Loud, Blue Tokai Roastery, and others. Do your bit for Better Village Better World, an initiative that works in UP to improve the quality of education, cleanliness, and other aspects. A Friday where you can actually contribute to the well-being of the country and feel good about it is a good idea, right? Get more details about the event here.

2. Shop Maal at Social

Everyone has that one friend who sneaked out a cute bottle out of Social at least once(Or is that just me?!) However, everyone agrees that Social has some of the coolest ideas with their crockery and bottles etc. Now, they are launching a merchandise range called Maal, which will be available to buy at the Maal Mela this Saturday! Yes, you can actually buy all those cool things for yourself. Why don’t  you drop by and pick something up? I know I will! Added advantage- the drinks menu will have happy hours from 12 PM to 2 PM. Yay!

3. Learn Kombucha Brewing

Are you a tea lover and a health freak? If so, this is exactly where you need to be this Saturday. Go to this workshop and learn to make Kombucha, a fermented tea that improves digestion, boosts energy, and strengthens your immune system. They will also  take you through the process of brewing, storage and consumption of Kombucha, not to mention different  recipes too! Buy your pass here and soon!

4. Attend The North East Festival

Fond of thukpa, momos and other delicacies from the seven sisters? Want to learn more about their culture and have a cultural Sunday? Enjoy handicrafts, folk dances, food and a lot of other entertaining ideas at this festival. Here is their entire schedule.

5. Enjoy an evening of laughter with NLDS Hawa Hawai

We all have these Delhi or Mumbai-specific jokes. The Tadpole Repertory, a Delhi-based theatre collective of actors, writers, directors and designers. will present NDLS, a collection of sketches showing an imagination of life in Delhi and the NCR that is funny, dramatic and has loud music, because Delhi. What a fun way to spend the Sunday evening, isn’t it?
