For the ones planning a trip to Malvan, the Sindhudarg airport at Parule-Chipi will most likely be operational by October 2018. 

What Is It?

Most of the construction at Sindhudarg airport is done and it is ready to be launched by October this year. The technical building with passenger terminal still have pending work, but will be done in a month’s duration. The aim of launching this airport is to enhance airway connection to the Malvan region of Maharashtra with the rest of India.

What Do We Know?

Currently, Maharashtra has only 3 International and 13 domestic airports. With the launch of Sindhudarg airport, tourism will be boosted within the intricate regions of the state. This 520 crore project will initially have flights connecting to regions of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa. But it soon plans to expand to all of India.
