We love brunches
Neither too late for breakfast, nor too early for a lunch! It is that one big, awesome meal after a lazy morning. As the weather becomes balmy, the capital offers lovely weather to step out on a sunny day and gorge on some delicacies.
Here’s a list of 5 brunch spots in Delhi we highly recommend for your a perfect Sunday!
1. Olive Bar & Kitchen
Brunch served at Olive Bar & Kitchen is one of the classiest in the capital. The ambience, especially their outdoor seating during winter, is white, classy and really romantic. Oh, but the food here takes the cake!
Olive has a brunch buffet studded with the best of thin crust pizzas, pastas, soups and salads, which don’t allow you to stop at one serving. They also don’t have a la carte during brunch hours, so indulge in whatever is out there and pick your favourites!
Where: One Style Mile, Haveli 6, Mehrauli
Timings: 12 PM to 4 PM
How Much: Rs. 3200 per person (includes alcohol)
2. Tonino
Tonino’s biggest selling point is its live pasta and pizza counter. Amid open architecture that allows one to just enjoy the ambience, you can relish their brunch buffet which has soups, salads, pastas, pizzas and some lovely desserts. A quick tip – their Tiramisu is to die for!
Where: 76/27, Near Andheria More, Mehrauli
Timings: 12.30 PM to 3.30 PM
How Much: Rs. 1,595 onwards
3. Cafe Lota
I like my brunch spots to be more quiet and tucked deep inside the serpentine lanes, preferably away from the sound of traffic. Cafe Lota is inside the National Crafts Museum and offers a wide range of different regional dishes from India’s different regions. Their breakfast menu is quite the rage here!
Ragi pancakes, rava idli, dal chilla, and many more. Tea lovers can pick from their range of artisanal teas, while coffee lovers need to try their South Indian filter coffee. If you don’t like either, you can try their kesar lassi. So if you’re looking for a yummy desi brunch, this is your spot!
Where: National Crafts Museum, Bhairon Marg, Pragati Maidan
Timings: 8 AM – 8.30 PM
How Much: Rs. 1,200 (for two)
4. Hungry Monkey
Indeed, The Hungry Monkey is right in naming their brunch as The Sunday Flying Brunch, because if you’re that foodie who wants to try everything on the menu, this is your place.
The brunch menu here has 10 starters, fresh baked breads, a flying buffet and an awesome selection of desserts. No one cares about much else with a spread like this now, right?
Where: The Hungry Monkey, Safdarjung Enclave, Opposite Deer Park
Timings: 12 PM – 4 PM
How Much: Rs. 1,600 onwards
5. Yauatcha
Dimsums for brunch? Yes please! Yauatcha aces their Asian food spread. Their massive dimsum spread (I lost count after 10!) and a delectable spread which includes baked chicken puffs, stir fried lamb with granny smith apples.
Egg fried rice and yummy desserts shows how serious they are about their brunch menu. This is also one of those quiet-ish places, with soft music and a pleasant ambiance.
Where: Level 2, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj
Timings: 12 PM to 4 PM
How Much: Rs. 2,000 onwards
So which of these is going to be your next brunch venue? Tell me in the comments!
