What does it take to build a successful business? Blood, sweat, tears and… restaurant partners, in the case of Swiggy. As India’s beloved food delivery aggregator turns 10 this August, CEO and Co-founder Sriharsha Majety took to his LinkedIn handle to share the company’s remarkable journey. He used the opportunity to extend his gratitude to his restaurant partners whose early support paved the way for Swiggy’s growth.

Bengaluru’s Truffles Was Swiggy’s 1st Restaurant Partner

Swiggy’s Co-founder and CEO Sriharsha Majety recounted the challenges he faced in onboarding restaurants in 2014. He recollects the day they first launched Swiggy— August 6, 2014— when Majesty and his team closed the day with zero orders. The following day, the company recorded its first-ever order. Bengaluru’s Truffles, a popular restaurant serving burgers, pasta and American bites to college-going students was one of Swiggy’s first restaurant partners.

The early adopters, in his opinion, didn’t just join the brand but became core to its journey.

The Swiggy CEO ends his post with excitement towards the future. He writes that they are thrilled about the next decade of growth, innovation and collaboration. He promises to continue to lead with passion and deliver unparalleled convenience to Swiggy’s customers.
