According to an article recently published in Moneycontrol, Akasa Air has received a significant amount of criticism from their customers on a number of points. One of the major criticisms that the airline has received is for their frequent last-minute flight cancellations or delays.

The airline is notorious for rescheduling and even cancelling flights last minute which forced customers to seek other, more expensive options. The article also stated that in August alone, Akasa Air had cancelled 15 flights in Karnataka and Kerala.

Around eight of their flights were delayed for more than two hours at a time. This led to its social media being flooded with angry customers. Many have also complained that the airline hasn’t been adequately responsive to their complaints and has delayed refunds by as long as 20 days.

Though the most affected region was the Bengaluru-Kochi sector, other areas have been affected too. In response, the airline stated that their service was affected owing to pilots abruptly quitting without completely serving their notice period.

This disrupted their roster and they subsequently had to make arrangements. In addition to this, a number of their aircraft have been grounded. Out of the 20 planes that the airline owns, 11 are grounded in order to be fitted with new seats.

The airline is also restructuring its domestic network in order to make a dedicated customer base. They also said that after the first week of September, these kinks will be taken care of and their service will improve.
