There are new internal roads that are coming up soon in Dubai. We are talking about those coming up in the Al Awir 1 area, which will see an ease in the traffic flow and even road safety. As revealed by the Dubai RTA on Sunday, this project will make life easier for people travelling by the road in Dubai. Take a look!
Internal Roads Coming Up In Al Awir 1 Area
16.5 km of internal roads will be constructed in the area as a part of this project. Not to mention, an additional entrance from the Emirates Road will also be added along with intersections and roundabouts to improve accessibility and reduce travel time. Enhancing movement, a 4 km lane will be added to the Emirates Road, which will be between the entrance of the Al Awir 1 and Sharjah. As a result, the capacity of the road will increase up to 16%. This is pretty neat, considering it will make travel a tad bit easier for those commuting on a daily basis.

How Will These Roads Ease Movement?
It’s worth mentioning that there will also be construction of 5 km of internal roads, which will be within the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment Residential Project. Moreover, a 7.5 km road will also be built connecting Emirates Road to Al Awir 1. As it happens, they will be two-lane roads in each direction and will also feature intersections, U-turns near Emirates Road and a roundabout. It’s worth mentioning that the U-turn will be linking this project with the Emirates Road.
With the new entrance and exit points, the area’s access points are bound to increase. Moreover, the capacity will also increase from the current 1500 vehicles per hour to 3000 vehicles per hour, which is a whopping increase of 100 per cent.
This development comes after the Dubai RTA made improvements in the areas of Al Warqa, Al Barsha South, Nadd Hessa, and Wadi Al Safa 3. So once the internal roads become operational, you can certainly expect that there will be ease of transport, thereby cutting the travel time and making it easier for daily commuters.
