The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority is quite serious and strict when it comes to the monitoring of restaurants. Even a little problem in the kind of service offered to the people, it comes under harsh scrutiny. Keeping up with this, authorities recently closed another two establishments in Abu Dhabi.
Kohinoor Restaurant Closed By The ADFSA
One of the two establishments, Kohinoor Restaurant, which is located in New Shahamah of Abu Dhabi, was recently shut down by the ADAFSA due to a significant risk to public health. This restaurant was found violating Law No. 2 of 2008, which is regarding the food in Abu Dhabi and associated legislation. As revealed by the authority on its social media, the authority has decided to administratively close Kohinoor Restaurant. It holds license number CN-1080144, and this announcement was made on April 10, Thursday.
Strong Tea Cafeteria Also Shut Down
As it happens, the authority conducts regular checks of restaurants in the emirate. Another establishment that has also been shut down is Strong Tea Cafeteria. Yes, this was also done because the restaurant poses a significant risk to public health. However, it was only after repeated violations by the cafeteria and failure to meet health and food safety requirements that the administrative closure was applied. As it happens, three fines and a warning of administrative closure had already been issued against the restaurant. This was done because of the spread of pests and insects inside the facility and the lack of cleanliness.

Now, the closure will remain in place until the cafeteria fulfils its requirements for health and food. As it happens, authority is constantly on the prowl to conduct checks, to ensure food establishments are following all the necessary guidelines for public health safety. For this purpose, they also ask people to report any food violations that the public might see on toll-free number 800555.
So, such inspections and scrutiny truly make people feel safe to consume food at eateries.
