The Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi has launched a regulatory policy for low-carbon water certificates. The aim of this policy is to ensure that there is application of sustainability standards. And this can be done by monitoring the electronic footprint of the desalinated water production process.

2. Saudia To Begin Direct Flights From Jeddah To Madina

Saudia has taken to its X account to reveal that soon it will be starting direct weekly flights from Jeddah to Madina. These weekly flights will begin on August 30 and it’s the first direct flight by the airline to this destination. A holy site, Madina is thronged by devotees in large numbers and this introduction of new flights just offers more options to travellers who are looking to book a flight.

3. AlUla Artworks Are Being Showcased In Monaco

22 artworks that showcase the beauty of the natural splendour of AlUla and its cultural heritage are being showcased in Monaco. Showcasing its history and culture, these artworks are distributed in the principality with the aim of enhancing tourism in this destination. The aim is also to promote as a global tourist and cultural destination amongst avid travellers.

4. GACA Imposes Fines Of Upto SAR4.5 Million

The GACA, which is the General Authority of Civil Aviation has imposed fines amounting to over SAR4.5 million. These fines have been imposed on entities and individuals for committing several violations. They have been found guilty of violating the Saudi Civil Aviation law and its executive regulations that have been issued by the authority.

5. Bahrain Wins Gold Medal At Paris Olympics

Bahrain recently won a gold medal in the women’s 3000 m steeplechase race at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics. And His Highness Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa who is the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on this big win. The medal serves as a new starting point for Bahrain sports towards a broader horizon. Athlete Salwa Eid ranks 13th globally and she clinched this medal for the nation.
