Government authorities in Saudi Arabia take health quite seriously. Keeping up with these values, the Ministry of Health recently fined three airlines for failing to comply with health surveillance regulations. Moreover, this happened at the Prince Mohammed Abdulaziz International Airport, which is in Madinah. Here’s why the three airlines had been fined.

According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, three airlines have been fined for health violations at the Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia. The penalties have been issued in accordance with the general provisions of executive regulations of the health surveillance law. As it happens, this stems from the ministry’s responsibility towards addressing health risks and ensuring there is public safety. So, it was revealed by the ministry that these airlines did not comply with the disease vector control measure after they failed to spray the aircraft with insecticides.

With the airlines not meeting the standards, they breached the health procedures outlined. Yes, these have been mentioned in the executive regulations of health surveillance law at points. Moreover, disciplinary actions have already been taken against the companies. Additionally, this has been done to ensure that these speeches are not repeated, as they might endanger public health.
It’s worth mentioning that this is a part of the ministry’s effort to supervise health surveillance at airports and border crossings. For citizens, residents, and visitors, such developments show how dedicated the kingdom is towards the health of the people.
