According to The Tribune, thousands of people are heading to Anjani Mahadev in Solang Valley to offer prayers to the massive 35-foot-tall snow Shivalingam there. As per reports, the natural spectacle occurred because of the waterfall at the temple. After temperatures dip in the region, snow starts accumulating around the Shivalingam and a massive mound is created in the same shape.
Reportedly, the size of the Shivalingam grows as the temperatures continue to drop. Last year the Shivalingam reached a height of 35 feet as well. The Shivalingam is situated at an altitude of 11,500 feet. To reach Anjani Mahadev, one has to take a 2 km trek from Solang Nala. Those not comfortable walking can also ride on a horse and enjoy the snow-capped landscape.
