It seems that misdemeanours and misbehaviours that occur in flight are growing endlessly. The latest in this line of awful behaviour is perhaps the most godawful. A man was arrested for spitting, urinating, and even defecating on an Air India flight! The pilot, too, was informed of his conduct and he was handed over to the airport authorities who proceeded to arrest him. Here are all the ugly details about this particular incident.
40-YO Man Spits, Urinates & Defecates On Air India Flight
In a shocking and appalling incident, which is perhaps the worst one out of all such incidents that have been reported so far, a man spat, urinated and even defecated on an Air India flight. The man was identified as Ram Singh and he was 40 years old.
According to an article recently published by The Times Of India, Singh works as a chef in an African country. This stomach-churning incident took place on the 24th of June, Saturday. The flight was headed to the Indira Gandhi International Airport or the IGIA in Delhi from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport or the CSMIA.
According to the article, Singh was first issued a verbal warning and was then isolated from the rest of the passengers. The article also specified that he didn’t spit on anybody or on any other passenger.

Ram Singh Arrested By The IGI Airport Police
The pilot was informed of his behaviour and upon arrival at the IGI Airport, a senior security official handed the passenger over to the IGI Airport Police Station. He was charged with Section 294 and Section 510 of the Indian Penal Code or IPC. The former is for obscene acts and the latter is for misconduct in public by a drunk person.
An Air India spokesperson said, “A passenger on our flight AI866 operating Mumbai-Delhi on June 24 behaved in a repulsive manner, causing discomfort to the co-passengers. In doing their best to manage the situation in the circumstances, the crew immediately secluded the passenger for the rest of the flight and issued a warning.”
The spokesperson further adds, “The passenger was handed over to the security personnel upon landing in Delhi. A police complaint (FIR) was registered subsequently, as was the matter reported to the regulator. Air India follows a zero-tolerance policy for such unruly and unacceptable behaviour. We are extending all cooperation to the ongoing investigations”
Since he was charged with Section 510, it is possible that the passenger was in an inebriated state when he did those appalling acts. This wouldn’t be the first time that a passenger has committed gross misdemeanours on a flight while drunk.
