Christmas is one of the most joyous occasions that we all look forward to. With sparkling lights, majestic Christmas trees and our favourite Santa Claus, there’s nothing that we don’t like about the festival. While things are always part and parcel of the festivities, one thing that stands out is the Christmas Market. Each Christmas market has its vibe and is distinct from the rest. If you love Christmas and can’t wait to visit the Christmas markets, then here are five markets in Dubai that will add more lights to your celebrations this year.

1. The Ripe Market

Every year, we look forward to visiting the iconic Ripe Market. The market is known to make Christmas all about unique gifts, treats and much more. And like previous years, this year too the Ripe Market is back with a bang. The market is going all out and is ensuring to add extra glitz to the festivities. Every weekend from December 4 to December 26, the market will be packed with a plethora of fun activities and stalls. The market has something for everyone. Little ones can enjoy the festival by meeting uncle Claus in his grotto, decorate some cookies and take part in workshops. Whereas, adults can check out the stalls that offer some exquisite unique gifts. Well, that’s not it, you can also pick up Christmas trees from the market.

2. Turkish Bazaar

Want to enjoy the festive market with a twist? If yes, then Turkish Bazaar should be on your list. Butcha and Babaji is all set to host a Christmas-themed Bazar. From Turkish ice cream to world-famous Turkish coffee to retail artisan goods, you can find everything here. For kids, there are varied activities like face painting. What’s even better? Well, the market is free to attend. Ain’t that great?

3. The Walk

JBR is all set to get a massive Christmas market, and we can’t wait for it. With festivities lined up for each day, you can enjoy the market throughout December. With a cool light show, several festive games including snowball fights, mini-golf and inflated slides and much more, you have to visit this market. There will also be a Santa’s sleigh, live music performances and a plethora of stalls serving some delicious Christmas treats and coffees.

4. The Desert Festive Market

Visit the Desert festive market at Bab Al Shams between December 12 and December 20 to pick up some amazing last-minute gifts for your loved ones. With a huge Christmas, mulled wine, hot chocolate and everything Christmasy around, there’s a lot to get you in the festive mood. For kids, you have to pay AED 50, which is redeemable against food and drinks, while adults get in for free.

Grand Hyatt has a fun Christmas Garden offering loads of activities for the kids to enjoy. The hotel’s grand Christmas garden is open every weekend until December 26. And the best part about it is that the entry is free.
