1. Dubai Municipality Plant 2,16,500 Trees In 2024

Dubai Municipality recently announced that it had planted 216,500 trees across Dubai in 2024. This was a 17% rise from 2023, which means about 600 trees were planted every day during the year. Not to mention, the green space in the emirate has also increased by a warpin as compared to 2023.

2. Visit Emirati District At Dubai International Airport

The Dubai International Airport has opened a shop called the Emirati District. This space offers you a glimpse of the Emirati culture the moment you step into the airport. Located between the B and C Gates of Terminal 3, it is empowering younger entrepreneurs. You can find everything from unique sweets and snacks that have been crafted by Emirati entrepreneurs that make you proud of your heritage

3. Dubai Metro Announces Easy Travel To Arab Health 2025

The Dubai Metro has announced that travelling will become easier for those planning to travel to Arab Health 2025. Yes, you can get off at the Dubai World Trade Centre for direct access to the event. However, you need to ensure that your nol card has enough balance. After all, it costs AED15 for Silver and AED30 Gold for a round trip.

4. SpiceJet Induct Boeing 737 Max Aircraft

SpiceJet recently took to its account on X to announce that it has reinducted Boeing 737 Max aircraft. Yes, from January 25, this has been reinducted to serve high-demand markets like Riyadh and Jeddah. By mid-April 2025, the plan is to restore 10 aircraft, which will include for Boeing 737 Max airplanes.

5. Sooty Falcon Population Rises In Oman

Sooty Falcon has seen a promising increase in its population in northern Oman. During a survey, which was conducted in 2024, 32 birds were counted, which saw an uptick from 21 in 2023. This is a positive uptick for the vulnerable species. For those who aren’t aware, these birds are currently classified as vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List for their decline in global population.
