If you are someone who happens to be a resident of Greater Noida and your office is in Gurgaon, then you are no stranger to long travel times, traffic jams, and the whole struggle that comes along with it. However, this might just change in the future, as the National Capital Region Transport Corporation has proposed a Regional Rapid Transit System that may connect Greater Noida to Gurgaon! Here’s all you need to know about the new rail line.
New RRTS To Connect Gurgaon & Greater Noida?
As proposed by the NCRTC, the new high-speed rail might also be linked with the Ghaziabad-Jewar Airport Corridor. An RRTS route has been proposed, which will be 60 km long. As reported by Hindustan Times, the train will be designed in such a way that it will run at a maximum speed of 180 km/h, once it is approved.
The Project To Cost ₹15,000 Crores
To be built at a cost of ₹15,000 crores, it will truly be unlike any other project, and it will not depend on any existing or ongoing projects, such as Delhi-Gurgaon or even Delhi-SNB corridors, for that matter. Haryana Rapid Transport Corporation Limited has been asked to draw a proposed alignment. With alignment, a detailed report about the project will be made. So basically, once this project does take shape, it is going to solve the traffic and travel woes of the residents travelling from Greater Noida to Gurgaon for office.

What Are The Proposed Stations?
According to the current plan, six stations have been proposed for the route. The first station will be in Gurgaon, which is proposed to be near IFFCO Chowk at Sector 29. From there, the train will go to Sector 54 on Golf Course Road. After this, it will proceed in the direction of Faridabad, where the two proposed stops are at Bata Chowk and near the Sector 85 & 86 junction. Finally, the train will head over to Noida with the stations planned near the intersections of Sector 142 and 168, and the last station will be at Surajpur in Greater Noida.
At this location, the passengers will be able to connect to the Ghaziabad-Jewar Airport RRTS corridor, which will certainly make their lives easier. This comes at a time when NCRTC is currently working on two major corridors spanning 102 km and 136 km each. So if this RRTS corridor does become a reality, it is certainly going to make travel a lot easier for the people.
