The weather department has also predicted fresh bouts of snowfall between January 20 and 23, especially in the higher reaches of the valley. Anantnag area of Jammu and Kashmir is one of them. As per the latest update, sub-zero temperatures are expected in Anantnag over the next few days, so plan your trip accordingly.

2. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh

Cold wave conditions and dense fog have taken over Himachal Pradesh. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted snowfall and light rain in higher reaches of the state as well. Shimla’s Kufri recently received around one to two inches of snowfall. This delighted the tourists visiting the town. While traffic snarled, the fresh snowfall turned the area into a winter wonderland. As per reports, the mercury will hover between 1-5 degrees Celsius in the region for the next few days.
