The last couple of weeks were threatening, scary, stressful, and worrisome for the Indian aviation industry. Flights of many famous airlines received bomb alerts and were threatened through mail and were even blackmailed to get a ransom. Though many threats turned out to be hoax, not all travellers feel ready to travel at this cautious moment. Just before the departure dates, many of them are cancelling their trips.

From Air India and IndiGo to Vistara and Akasa Air, the leading airlines of India experienced a miserable time in the past few weeks due to continuous bomb threats. These alerts disrupted flight operations and airlines remained on high alert as well. Investigators have discovered around 11 fake social media accounts linked to these fake bomb threats.

Hearing all this unexpected news, many holiday goers decided to postpone their trips for the time being. The LocalCircles platform recently conducted a survey with more than 15,200 participants. The respondents were from different cities and rural districts nationwide. According to a report by News18, 61 per cent of these respondents were men and the rest were women.

The next month is a peak holiday season with thousands and lakhs of passengers waiting to board flights every day.
