A New Video Series Designed For Indian Travellers To Travel To Australia
The new launch by Tourism Australia is a four-part social media series. It takes Netizens on a special ride to know about David Warner’s preferred holiday attractions in Australia. From the Gold Coast to Melbourne to Sydney, the former Australian opener shared his favourite places and you can add these to your travel itinerary.
Which places did he recommend? Well, David’s suggestions include Gold Coast wildlife, Bondi’s coastal walk, and Melbourne’s laneways. Phillipa Harrison, Tourism Australia’s Managing Director, travelled to India with a delegation of Australian tourism CEOs. They announced the video series in India a few days ahead of the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
During this work trip, they will interact with several partners such as Air India, IndiGo, MakeMyTrip, and Thomas Cook to strengthen connections. The content series and a partnership between Tourism Australia and David Warner aim to impress Indian travellers with Australia’s gems and influence them to plan holidays.

About International Visitors Arriving In Australia
International globetrotters love to travel to Australia. According to a press release, the country recorded a footfall of around 8 million visitors for the year ended (YE) August 2024. It was about 85 per cent of 2019 (9.5 million visitors).
Updates about Indian visitors travelling to Australia:
- India was amongst Australia’s fastest-growing inbound markets, as per the press release.
- Also, our country was one of the first markets to recover to pre-Covid numbers.
- The overall arrival numbers for the year ended (YE) August 2024 were 423,400.
- From January to August 2024, the total arrivals were 285,400. It is 11 per cent more than 2019 and 2023.
