Recently, a SpiceJet flight, which was supposed to travel from Pune to Dubai, left 300 flyers in a state of confusion and chaos. This took place on Friday evening, August 9, and we are here to tell you what really happened.
SpiceJet Flight Pune-Dubai Flight Cancelled
According to a news report by Times of India, it was revealed that passengers who were supposed to board flight SG51 of SpiceJet were told that it was delayed by half an hour. However, this boarding never happened! The flight, which was supposed to take off at 8:50 PM from the Pune Airport, was cancelled. This was announced by the airline staff at around 1 AM on Saturday.
However, the difficulty faced by the passengers did not end there. It also took them an hour and a half to get their immigration cancelled, and then another hour to get their luggage back. As it happens, they were able to leave the airport at around 3 AM before they could go back home. Passengers complained that the airline staff were completely clueless most of the time, which left them feeling irritated. As it happens, the same aircraft that was supposed to fly back from Pune after landing in Dubai.
The Flight From Dubai Was Also Cancelled
Yes, the flight, which was supposed to take off at 12:05 AM from Dubai, had also been cancelled. Passengers earlier received a text message stating that the flight had been delayed by an hour, however, it was only after they reached the airport and completed all the formalities that the airline staff members had informed them that this flight might get cancelled. As such, after the formalities had been completed, it was revealed that a flight from Mumbai from Dubai had been changed to Pune because of there being few flyers to Mumbai, which resulted in them getting agitated.
It certainly seems that the passengers were having a hard time not just waiting at the airport, but finding out that the flight for which they had ended up waiting was cancelled.
