1. MRO Middle East & AIME 2024 Concludes

MRO Middle East and Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) 2024 has marked the largest edition yet. As it saw record-breaking attendance, several important deals and announcements were made during the conference sessions. It’s worth mentioning that the event welcomed more than 8000 attendees, who were from 95 countries. As it happens, it also features 250 exhibitors and 120 airlines. Among the many announcements, one of the most important ones happened to be flyadeal signing a long-term agreement with Safran Nacelles.

2. DAMAC’s Cavalli Tower Is 28% Complete

DAMAC’s Cavalli Tower is all set to redefine luxury, once it is completed. The 71-storey Cavalli Tower will be setting a new standard of luxury living in the city. While the progress on the tower is underway, at the moment 28% has been completed. In fact, external and internal furnishings will begin in June 2024. It will feature intricately designed 2- to 6-bedroom luxury, upper luxury, and super luxury duplexes. And it will feature Cavalli’s signature style of vibrant prints and daring designs.

3. New Passenger Train Station To Come Up In Sharjah

Soon, the UAE’s national railway network, Etihad Rail mainline and a future passenger station in Sharjah will be connected. This announcement was witnessed by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail. As it happens, the announcement also aligns with Etihad Rail’s efforts to develop its passenger rail services. As a result, it will be linking cities and residential areas in the country with an efficient and reliable network.

4. Dubai Municipality Conducts Inspection Of Stores

The Dubai Municipality undertook the inspection of several outlets and stores for food checks. Ensuring food security standards, this security check was done ahead of the month of Ramadan. In fact, they already planned to intensify the inspection campaign and conduct visits to the establishments.

5. New Aeroplane Hangar Facility To Finish By 2025

A new facility will be built with the maximum allowed dimensions. As a result, this will make it one of the largest wide-body capable aircraft MRO hangers in the GCC. With the capacity for up to 5 widebody aircraft of any type, excluding the A380, this new facility is expected to be completed by 2025. In fact, the groundbreaking ceremony took place at Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, which is the aerospace platform of Dubai dedicated towards the advancement of aviation and industry. As such, Tim Aerospace broke the ground on its new hangar at Dubai South.
