On Sunday, June 8, a Gulf Air flight that was headed to Kuwait International Airport received a bomb threat. This was confirmed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, as mentioned in a report by the Gulf News. However, the airline did make a safe landing at the airport after receiving this threat. Gulf Air Flight Receives Bomb Threat
A Gulf Air flight GF213, which was headed to Kuwait, recently received a bomb threat. The aircraft landed safely at the Kuwait Airport, and thereafter, it underwent a full security inspection. In fact, all the passengers were safely evacuated, and there were no injuries reported. These passengers were moved to the designated lounge, and they were reported to be in good condition. However, precautionary measures were carried out for security checks. This was done in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, so that the safety of the people aboard, including crew members and passengers kept at the forefront.
Security Inspections Were Undertaken
This report was immediately addressed as it must be in accordance with the security procedures and protocols in Kuwait. The airport had coordinated with the Ministry of Interior to ensure all the security measures were in place. Although it’s worth mentioning that the person who had been responsible for sending the false threat has been identified and arrested. Yes, this person has been taken into custody. Additionally, legal and security actions are being taken against the suspect.

Man Charged For Hoax Bomb Threat On Singapore-Abu Dhabi Flight
This comes after a man who was charged with making the threat on Instagram in Singapore-Abu Dhabi flight was given a strict penalty. He was charged in court by Singapore on Thursday, June 5, and now faces a prison sentence of up to 7 years. Besides a $50,000 fine, this threat was made by him on February 14, 2025, at about 7:20 PM. As a result, the aircraft had to be called back to the airport, which had just taken off.
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that even though most of the time such threats can be hoaxes, they must all be taken seriously. Especially, as the airlines have a strict protocol and security measures to follow. While it can be a little inconvenient, it’s always better to be safe.
